What should I do to my Blackberry phone memory card? I have used a 32GB SD card for the data storage of my Blackberry. But, ten minutes ago, my Blackberry phone just gave me a message saying: “The media card has been inserted is not formatted. Do you wish to format this media card now?” But, I had used this card there for over 2 years. I had not encountered the same error before. Most importantly, I still had stored some taken images, recorded videos and contacts on this card and could not afford to lose them by formatting process. So, I just wished there could be some hopes when checking it on my computer. But, I also got the same not formatted errors and its file system also was changed into RAW. Is there anyone who has experienced the same RAW card problems? Have you restored your card information? How can I rescue my card stuffs back?
OK! No matter what happens, it is really a “must” to make data backups all the time, isn’t it? In your case, without card data backups, do not format this RAW SD card and also do nothing improper to this card, unless you’ve taken all videos, images and contacts out safely. Insert this RAW SD card to computer and download related card software to perform RAW SD card data recovery process.
Under RAW file system problem, the SD card data, like your videos, images and contacts, is not wiped or erased off from this SD card, provided that you’ve not formatted this card at the outset. Therefore, do not do anything improper (including formatting, overwriting, dropping and the likes) to this card and select a RAW file system recovery software to recover all reserved stuffs back from this card. With this data recovery software, you only need several steps to re-access everything there:
Step 1:
Download this recovery software and straightly launch it on your computer. Follow software guidance and choose data recovery mode from main screen.
Select recovery options in the main interface
Step 2:
Wait till the RAW SD card scanning process is completely.
Select card to search photos off card
Step 3:
Use “Preview” feature to find your needed data out.
Wait while scanning lost photos, sometimes it takes about 20 minutes to scan a 32G card.
Tips: if it takes more than 2 hours to scan a 32GB card, you may stop the scanning and wait to see
what's already found. Since the card may contains bad blocks that takes longer time than usual.
Step 4:
Recover all RAW SD card stuffs back.
Preview lost photos and save found files. It would generate a folder to contain your lost data.
Please do not save the photo to the card where you lost them. Save them to your PC drive!
* Turn off this blackberry phone when you need to pick out this RAW SD Card.
* Store all restored stuffs on computer or other places in case of data loss.
* Make data backups all the time.
Are you considering using a new SD card to store your Blackberry phone data instead of this RAW SD card? But, whether that idea is necessary or not often depends on whether this SD card is still reliable. After formatting, if this RAW SD card is still workable and can safely store and transfer your data, just do not discard it. It could be used for longer time. But, if this card cannot be formatted and also cannot be used again, just follow your idea and change another new one. But, no matter whether you will plan to buy a new card, you should always save all important phone card data on different places, like external drives, computer drives, online storages and more, in case of data loss.
